Mike Jackson is an Emmy-nominated editor and award-winning director. His editing on the CBS / History Channel documentary Beyond Top Secret was nominated for the 2006 News and Documentary Emmys. Other notable projects he has edited include Dan Rather Reports: Greenscare, the comedy feature The Beast of Bottomless Lake, documentaries Eco-Pirate: The Story of Paul Watson, Ayaa: A Hero's Journey, and Knowledge Network's Our First Voices, as well as Bravo dance videos Methuseleh and Distemper, numerous award-winning shorts and music videos, and a Leo-nominated episode of Food Network’s Glutton for Punishment.

Mike has directed numerous award-winning shorts and music videos, including the comedy short The Bar starring Peter DeLuise (winner of the first Hot Shot Shorts film competition, nominated for two LEO awards, and winner of Best Comedy at the 2008 Sea to Sky Film Festival), music video 20 Minutes of Oxygen by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets (nominated for a Golden Sheaf Award at the 2011 Yorkton Film Festival), Dial ‘A’ for Alphaman, Hell's Habit (Best Picture, Best Acting, Best Editing and Best Costumes, 2006 Vancouver Bloodshots 48-Hour Horror Filmmaking Challenge), Third Eye Tribe’s Real Mathematics (semi-finalist, Action/Cut short film competition), and the musical Frequency Zero (CBC Zed People’s Choice Award and Best Ensemble Performance, 2002 Reel-Fast 48-Hour Film Competition).

Mike began in the industry as a storyboard artist for MTV’s Aeon Flux, and continued his work in animated television as a production designer on ReBoot. He and co-writer Sam Dulmage won Second Place Horror Screenplay in the 2006 Phoenix Film Festival's International Horror Sci-Fi Screenplay Competition for their script Hell to Pay.
